Oh, hail!
Ellen Cartwright, with mom Grace Lee and daughter Stephanie Lim celebrated Stephanie’s 25th birthday with a trip to the Canadian Rockies and lakes.
Who knew in the middle of July there would be a hail storm on the first day of their trip to Banff from the Alberta, Canada, airport? For 20 minutes, Ellen Cartwright, with mom Grace Lee and daughter Stephanie Lim, pulled over with other cars and watched the dime-sized nuggets as they feared for the unknown. The group, relatively and respectively speaking, came from Houston, Los Angeles and Midland to celebrate Stephanie’s 25th birthday. The three generations visited the beautiful Canadian Rockies and lakes, a place Ellen has been to twice before. They hiked and took in the scenery in Banff, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake and Lake Moraine, with 80-year-old Grace holding her own. Some places, it was snow great!
