She was on time

Dr. Carl Schmulen hosted his wife Lyn Schmulen’s 100 closest friends at a private party at Tony’s to celebrate her 70th birthday. In keeping with Lyn’s notorious trait of being late, the party was a month later, but she was on time. Friends that have known Lyn for decades, Barbara Josephson, Roseanne Rubin, Joyce Fadem and Jill Racusin, presented a clever skit about Lyn. Daughter Caren and Rob Sweetland, son Brian and Danielle Schmulen, and son Mark and Lindsay Schmulen presented a humorous caricature of skits about Lyn and “Lyn-ica,” which means presents can be given at any time during the year, not just Hanukkah. A mélange of events that included her grandchildren talking to Lyn in a video was the perfect finale before the grand multi-colored bombe cake was presented with sparklers.
