Katelyn Bowyer and Ryan Kanaley both attended The University of Texas at Austin but met for the first time after they graduated, at a Cinco de Mayo fiesta in Los Angeles. Ryan popped the question on Aug. 4 last year in Venice, Calif., and they married on Oct. 6 in Lake Las Vegas, where Ryan’s parents live. The theme of the wedding was “hacienda romance,” with a cool desert vibe. Parents Fred and Olga Bowyer and Mike and Donna Kanaley were happy to celebrate together, as were friends from Houston and all over Texas.
