True blue
The annual Houston Police Foundation True Blue Gala, which took place at the Fertitta family home, raised more than $900,000 to provide equipment and training for the Houston Police Department. Dave Ward emceed, and Laura Ward was recognized for chairing the annual fundraiser. More than 600 guests wearing blue sipped on “True Blue” martinis and enjoyed a spread from Landry’s chefs. Pictured are Tilman Fertitta (at right) with son Michael (left) and daughter Blayne Fertitta (middle). Spotted in the crowd were police Chief Art Acevedo, Mayor Sylvester Turner, Sen. John Whitmire, Kristina and Paul Somerville, Don and Laura Sanders, Alice and Keith Mosing, Sheridan and John Eddie Williams, Tony Buzbee, Pasadena Mayor Jeff Wagner, Virginia and Brian Cook, Diane Lokey Farb, Michael Fertitta, Jim and Whitney Crane, Jim and Dancie Ware, Galveston County Sheriff Henry and Brenda Trochessett, Blake Tartt, JoLynn and Gregg Falgout, Brian Teichman and Andrew Cordes, Kim Ogg, and Renee and Alan Helfman. The gala ended with a bang – fireworks.
