The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) Greater Houston Section hosted its Saturday Night Fever-themed gala at The Revaire for nearly 300 guests, with disco music by The Grooves. Approximately $200,000 was raised. Guests were greeted by dancers on stilts and roller skates. Debra Gaitz Cohen and Ziggy Gruber were honored with the Faith and Humanity Award. Rachel and Levi Strauss were presented with the Robin Perlo Berry NextGen Leadership Award, which recognizes young leaders. Proceeds will fund Aid to Victims of Domestic Abuse’s Emergency Client Assistance Fund, Back 2 School Store, Home Instruction Program for Parents of Preschool Youngsters, SEARCH Homeless Services House of Tiny Treasures and advocacy efforts. Chairs were Stacy Soefer Gomar and Caroline Rosen Funk, and co-presidents are Lisa Stanton and Aliza Plotkin.
