They were in the same MBA classes for two years at UT in Austin and never met until a graduation party on Lake Austin. Chris Maier proposed to Lauren Jamison in December 2017 in Chicago as a Christmas-time gift. One surprise they did not plan on was when they had to change the wedding-ceremony location in Mexico three days before, due to a parade permit problemo. They married in 2018 in San Miguel de Allende at the Belmond Casa Sierra Nevada and paraded behind a mariachi band and lifesize bride and groom puppets to a festive dinner and dance decorated with bougainvillea vines at the famous estate, Casa Hyder. Horseback riding in Patagonia was a highlight on their Argentina honeymoon. The couple’s parents, Bryan and Stephanie Jamison and Michael and Eileen Maier, know there are happy trails ahead for them!
