The St. Anne Catholic School’s men’s varsity basketball team (pictured) finished the regular season with an 11-2 record and tied for first place in their division. Part of the Galveston-Houston Catholic Athletic Association, the St. Anne Shamrocks faced a tough season against teams from other Catholic schools in the area. Most of the boys have played together since second grade, and they have grown as a team over the years. At the end of the semester, the team is graduating several eighth graders who will be off to high school next year. The first-place Shamrocks are (top row, from left) Will Pilibosian, Jack Merrill, Nolan Hughes, Trey Robinson, Will Wachel and Arjun Chahal; (bottom row, from left) Joey Sigler, Trevor Lombard, Tripp Arnold, Graham Kenneally, Brandon Laughlin and Eduardo del Olmo.
