Celebrate Black History month with a Friday afternoon performance that showcases the contribution of African American actors to Shakespeare. Main Street Theater partners with Harris County Public Library to put on the show, which is free and interactive!
ReelAbilities Film Festival
Head to Edwards Cinema this Sunday for the kickoff of the film portion of Houston’s ReelAbilties Film & Arts Festival, a 10-day annual event that celebrates the lives and talents of people with disabilities. You can also visit the Center for Art and Photography at Celebration Company to check out the “ReelArt” exhibition, which features art by Ezra Roy, a native Houstonian and visual artist with Down syndrome.
Asia Society Lunar New Year
If you missed last weekend’s Lunar New Year festivities, there’s still time to celebrate! Asia Society is hosting a special festival at the Galleria on Sunday afternoon. There will be free arts and crafts, activities and performances the whole family can enjoy!
