Glenda Waldman was playing mah jongg with friends four days before New Year’s Day when the subject came up that there was nothing going on Jan 1. Since Glenda and Terry Waldman knew their son Seth was getting engaged on New Year’s Eve to Ilana Mizrahi, they decided to throw a Pop-Up Potluck Lunch on New Year’s Day. About 70 friends gathered to start the new year with black-eyed peas. Linda and Brian Shapiro and Dena and Steve Smolin were all grins.
