Happy Friday! Don’t miss these fun events happening this weekend!

Galveston Island Wine Festival
If you’re a wine lover, you’ll want to check out the Galveston Island Wine Festival, happening this Friday and Saturday in historic downtown Galveston. Enjoy wines from around the world and learn first-rate tips from popular chefs and renowned winemakers.

Al-Fresco Family Movie Night
Dress up as your favorite superhero and head to Levy Park on Friday evening for an outdoor screening of the action-packed film Wonder Woman! The event is part of the park’s Family Movie Night series on the last Friday of each month.

MFAH Mixed Media
Party among the art on Friday night at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston event, Mixed Media. The museum will be transformed into a party scene with DJ’s, dancing, drinks and more. This Van-Gogh inspired bash celebrates Van Gogh and even includes exclusive after-hours access to the Van Gogh exhibition.

Houston Texans Kids Triathlon
Head to NRG Stadium this Saturday and Sunday for what’s expected to be the largest USATriathlon sanctioned kids’ triathlon in the world! The event is open to kids ages 6 to 15, and there’s still time to register! Join for the interactive triathlon expo days, racing fun and a post-race party where racers can get autographs from Texans celebrities.

Walk With Me
Join Easter Seals Greater Houston for a 5K Family Fun Walk through the Houston Zoo on Saturday morning! The event is meant to raise awareness and resources for veterans, children and adults living with all types of disabilities. The celebration will continue after the walk, with a post-race celebration featuring live music, children’s activities, food and animal shows.

Earth Day Picnic
Enjoy a family picnic at Evelyn’s Park on Saturday afternoon to celebrate Earth Day as well as the park’s two-year anniversary! Bring your own picnic, or grab something from Betsy’s, Market in the Park and beer garden. There will be plenty of kids’ activities to enjoy as well!

7th Annual Garden Party Benefit
Party with your neighbors at the 7th Annual Southside Place Garden Party happening on Sunday evening! The event includes live music by singer-guitarist Gabe Montoyo, food generously donated by Molinas, cake donated by the delicious Moeller’s bakery plus a silent auction and plenty of kid friendly activities.
