Game plan

About 450 guests filled the Briar Club in support of the Center for Pursuit’s Building a Game Plan for the Future Luncheon. Chairs Jennifer Dominiquini, Kevin Kushner and Brittany Sakowitz Kushner were thrilled with the record amount of $360,000 raised. Khambrel Marshall emceed. The Center for Pursuit helps empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, dignified lives filled with opportunity. The event unveiled a new logo and plans for a new campus that will expand possibilities for clients on the eastside of downtown. Mayor Sylvester Turner introduced special guest Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, along with a surprise video from Clemson coach Dabo Swinney that brought applause from the crowd and a big smile from Deshaun.
