The annual Armand Bayou Spring Celebration and Fundraiser honored Betsy and Fred Griffin. Event chair Robbie Lowe and honorary chair Harriet Latimer were in the crowd of 225-plus enjoying the Cinco de Mayo-inspired food, flan desserts and a silent auction. It was all about a reconnection with nature for supporters Garry McMahan, Truett Latimer, Mark Kramer, David Runte and Tim Pylate. Twelve live-auction packages focused on items like guided pontoon and kayak trips, a condo in Mazatlán and a private mixology session. More than $130,000 was raised to support ongoing operations at the Armand Bayou Nature Center.
