Golden gala
Houston Audubon celebrated 50 years of bird conservation at its Golden Anniversary Gala held at the Astorian. The event included a silent auction, an up-close experience with raptors, a formal dinner, and a video highlighting the organization’s milestones. Since 1969, Houston Audubon has been a voice for birds, through land conservation, habitat restoration, education and advocacy. The organization established the Land and Facilities Stewardship Endowment Fund in 2018, which is funded in part from the gala. Event chairs were Gary Clark and Mary Carter.
