Fighting for the win
The St. Vincent de Paul football team (pictured) wrapped up an undefeated season with a championship win over Cypress Christian School. Coach Ivory Young (bottom row, third from left) says it was the most intense football game in his tenure at St. Vincent de Paul. “It was a true chess match between the coaching staffs and an ultimate battle for the boys on the field,” he said. The winning play was a 28-yard touchdown run with only 11 seconds left on the clock. The eighth graders are (top row, from left) Bennett C., Aidan S., James U., Thomas D., Jake W., Henry L. and Ryan C., (bottom row, from left) Luke V., Burke R., Coach Young, Knox V., Hayden O and Oxford C.
