Holiday love to Lovett
Bellaire High School baseball players participated in a toy drive organized by BHS National Honor Society student-athletes to benefit students in need at Lovett Elementary. Lovett was selected because they kindly allow BHS baseball and softball players to use their on-campus fields for practice. Pictured are (from left) Lovett principal Dawn Thompson, Bellaire baseball players Kye Yu, Trace Gorman, George Mills, Max Melamed, Will Russo, Parker Smith and Bellaire baseball head coach Nick Ozuna. This holiday season, BHS varsity/JV players also volunteered at Christian Community Service Center’s Jingle Bell Express event, helping the “shoppers” carry and load their toy selections to their cars. Bellaire Baseball and the Cardinal Baseball Booster Club host volunteer events throughout the year.
