Shining knights

The Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association’s 8U Memorial Knights (pictured) are World Cup Champs. The boys shut out the Valley Oaks Warriors, 1-0. During the championship game, the only goal of the night was scored by right wing Evan Sondersted with an assist from Wesley Andrew. The Knights’ defense, including stopper Dylan Gompers and goalie Kai Sondersted, helped seal the victory. In the regular season the Knights were undefeated, scoring an impressive 65 goals.
