Houston Rodeo Bar-B-Que Contest
More than 250 teams, led by barbecue aficionados, will be competing in this annual pre-Rodeo Houston event! Visitors can come by NRG Park Friday or Saturday to enjoy food, live music and the carnival.
2020 Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic
Watch the SEC take on Big 12 teams at the 20th annual Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic. The tournament will feature nine games at Minute Maid Park from Friday through Sunday.
Rodeo Run
Get into the Rodeo spirit with the Rodeo Run on Saturday morning! The annual event includes a wheelchair race, 10K race and a 5K run/walk. It begins at the corner off of Walker and Bagby and ends on Allen Parkway, near Eleanor Tinsley Park, where participants and supporters are invited to a post-race celebration.
Texas Independence Day Celebration
This two-day living history celebration at the 300-acre Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site commemorates when Texas made a formal declaration of independence from Mexico. Enjoy live music and entertainment plus the opportunity to learn about the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence.
King of Crawfish Festival
Celebrate crawfish season at this much-anticipated event on Saturday featuring top-ranked specialty chefs, all-you-can-eat-crawfish, live bands and DJs, a variety of food and drinks and the Crowning of the Crawfish King Ceremony.
Dynamo Opening Day
Support the Houston Dynamo on opening day of the season on Saturday, when they face off against the LA Galaxy.
9th Annual Houston Kosher Chili Cookoff
Sample chili, listen to music and have a great time at this outdoor, annual Kosher Chili Cook-Off held on Sunday at Beth Yeshurun. The event will conclude with the selection of the winning chili by celebrity judges.
