More than 700 gathered at the Hilton Americas to honor Bill Kroger of Baker Botts LLP with the 2020 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award. He was celebrated for his dedication to his profession and to the Houston community, along with his work with the ADL. Former Secretary of State James A. Baker, III gave a video tribute. Guests listened to presentations by ADL Southwest regional board chair Nicole Nathan Gibson, event chair and Kroger mentee Nicole Soussan Caplan and an introduction of the honoree by Mayor Sylvester Turner. The event raised more than $415,000 for ADL’s Southwest Region.
