Kaylee
I’m Kaylee, a 10-year-old calico cat. On a cold January day when I was a kitten, my soon-to-be parents were visiting the site of a lake house they were having built. I came running out of the woods crying “meow, meow” (translation: “Feed me”). Then, I jumped up on Dad’s chest. I must have created an impression because Mom came back the next day with cat food and milk. After slurping it down, I ran across a field into her open car door, sat in the passenger seat and directed her to drive me home. I get along fine with the dogs, after I explained to them who was the boss. I don’t like other cats, though. Living in Bellaire is nice – the food is good, I can watch TV sports on Dad’s lap, and I can hide in the closet if there’s a thunderstorm or the doorbell rings.
