Bellaire resident Amy Brazda (pictured, at a past book signing) is a first-time children’s book author. Her book, Jesse Unleashed, recently won Story Monsters Approved’s book contest in the Family Matters category. The book, inspired by her own pup, features a chocolate Labrador puppy who spreads kindness and does good deeds. A portion of the book sales go to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Amy’s father, who Jesse is named after.
