Hats off
The Daniel family, celebrating Dominick Daniel’s graduation from Bellaire High School, hosted a ceremony for Dominick’s lifelong friends. The group, many of whom had been close since their time at Horn Elementary or Pin Oak Middle School, gathered at “Daniel Ranch” (the empty lot where the Daniel home sat prior to Hurricane Harvey) to celebrate memories and the new chapter of their lives. Honorees Andrew Abdalla, Kenneth Alexander, John Bunge, Lee Carter, Coby Cho, Dominick, Davis Evans, Gene Gopon, Connor Oelsen, Zak Pham, Nathan Reichert, Alex Rico, Grace Evans, Mary Ferrris, Sully Grubbs and Julie Fitsch-Mouras (pictured, tossing their mortarboards) wore their caps and gowns. Grads came from local high schools including BHS, Lamar, Kinder HSPVA, Episcopal and St. Pius X. Each graduate was asked to say a few words. As soon as the first graduate began to speak, the skies opened up, drenching the attendees. The resilient Class of 2020 grads moved forward and shared reflections and funny stories.
