Schrödinger, age 4

Ich heisse Schrödinger. Though Garfield is more humorous, I am one of the most famous cats in the world, even though you’d probably only know me if you are a physics geek. For those who aren’t as fluent in quantum theory, you should know that I was part of a 1935 thought experiment that created quite the buzz in the science community, for it said I could be both alive and dead at the same time! I was a semi-feral cat when my mom decided to make me a full-fledged member of the family. Even as a kitten, I’ve been plagued with this existential thought: “At this moment, am I alive or dead?” Either way, I love my forever home whether I really live here or not. My mom and dad think I’m cute; if you want to see for yourself, look for me in the front window. I may be there. Or not.
