In light of the pandemic, the nonprofit Archaeology Now launched “The Time Travelers’ Project” online. The goal is to introduce world culture to kids so they can “travel” through time while remaining at home. Melisa Walsh, third-grade teacher at River Oaks Elementary School, used the packet on Mayan culture as part of her class curriculum. Pictured is third grader Eiley Rose proudly holding her Mayan mask. Find the Maya Packet here. Upcoming activity packets will cover Rome and Egypt.
