Fitness with friends
Every morning, Monday-Saturday, since the coronavirus quarantine began, this group has diligently gathered – socially distanced – for “Exercise 101” in Annette Kapp’s front yard. Annette has been leading a boot camp at Chancellors Family Center for years and, when gyms closed, continued the exercise and camaraderie for free outdoors, no matter the weather. About 7-12 participants, in their 40s through their 80s, gather for a workout and socialize from a safe distance. The group has been exercising together for at least six years. Passersby often wave, give a thumbs up, or honk encouragingly. Pictured are instructor Annette (in front with orange band) and (back, from left) Laura Lempert, Harriet Newman, Arlene Estle, Rosemary Mulkey, Oren Mulkey, Marilyn Albert, Joan Voss and Barbara Dryer. Not pictured are Rachel Goldstein, Marty Zoller, Marian Cohen, Leslie Cauffman, Connie Vargo, Carol Clowe and Annette Kehoe.
