Drive-by baby shower

Baby Ellie Sylvester was showered with love at a drive-by baby shower. Mom-to-be Elisabeth’s (in middle) best friends, Claire Juist (on left) and Ginny Alagugurusamy (on right), hosted the coronavirus-friendly celebration in Ginny’s front yard. The yard was decorated with pink, white and gold balloons, and guests were offered a drive-by taco station and a mimosa station, with to-go cups personalized with Ellie’s name. Guests decorated their cars with pink tulle. Baby Ellie is due Sept. 11, which is meaningful because it’s Elisabeth’s grandfather’s birthday. Dad-to-be Jonathan Sylvester enjoyed the occasion, taking photos and saying hello from a distance. Thrilled grandparents-to-be are Claudia and Andras Bognar and Ray Sylvester and Gena Sylvester. Elisabeth said the celebration was truly special, especially since she’s been leaving home only to go to doctor’s appointments.
