All-Stars in the pool

The Maplewood Marlins 7/8 boys medley relay team placed third in the South Houston Recreational Swim League’s Meet of Champions and All-Star meet. Carson Llewelyn, Andrew Lester, Ewan Reid and Vicente Alvarez (pictured, from left) celebrated with their medals after a competitive, socially distant season and final meet. Ewan was also the 7/8 boys champion in individual breaststroke and placed in the top 5 for each of the other individual events. The whole team had a strong showing, with many other swimmers also earning medals at the All-Star meet: Elaine Farrell, Bryce Farrell, Cannon Thomas, Sarah Wheeler, Emily Wheeler, Max McCormick, Bennett Gallegos, Celia Gallegos, Harold Carter, Malcolm Reid, Shawn Murphy, Blake Wilson, Celia Grand, Anne Marie Jurica, Grace Robleto, Patrick Close and Alex Alvarez.
