The live virtual gala for CAP (Citizens for Animal Protection) was a rockin’ experience. The Fab 5 performed favorite Beatles hits while emcee Johnny “Bravo” Holloway and animals provided a lively atmosphere. More than 750 individuals joined, raising more than $360,000. The evening was dedicated in memory of Trisha Royal and Bailey Moriarty. The Melcher Humanitarians of the Year award was given to Brook and Julie Brookshire and their Pomeranians, Lola and Lila. Frances Moody and Tony Buzbee displayed a photo of their many dogs. Pamela Wright showed her adopted kitten, Lucy. Rob Eppolito brought his rescue German Shepherd Reba. The Share the Love award, inspired by Gloria and Frank Meszaros of West Houston Subaru, who have helped make over 10,000 sponsored adoptions possible, was presented to Duke and C.C. Ensell. The nonprofit shelters and places homeless animals for adoption.
