The Radical King and the Quest to Change America 
In honor of MLK day, the Rothko Chapel is hosting a livestream MLK Birthday Celebration on Friday evening. The event will feature Princeton University professor of African-American Studies Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, who will answer questions unlocking the ideas and strategies necessary to enact effective and lasting change the United States.

Monster Energy AMA Supercross 
Monster Energy AMA Supercross is kicking off its season in Houston! Watch the most competitive and high-profile off-road motorcycle racing event, taking place at NRG Stadium on Saturday. Note that in light of COVID-19, seating capacity is reduced, and tickets are available for sale in pre-determined “pods” of seats that are physically distanced from one another. 

MLK Day Pop Up Shop
Browse and buy from more than 20 local Black-owned business at this outdoor market in South Houston on Saturday afternoon. Don’t forget your face mask! 
Moonstruck Drive-In Cinema at East River 
Enjoy a contactless cinema experience at Moonstruck Drive-In, located on the cite of Midway’s 150-acre East River development. Feature films are projected onto a 40-foot by 80-foot structure, and audio is broadcast through an FM transmitter to car stereos. On Friday and Saturday, the cinema is showing The Croods 2 (6:30pm) and Wonder Woman 1984 (9:00pm). 

MATCH Family Fun Day 
Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston is hosting its annual Family Fun Day on Sunday – virtually. This free event features performances and activities for the entire family. Enjoy video dance performances, puzzles about popular children’s books, hip-hop dance instruction and more.
