Every vote counts
Students at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School learned about our nation’s voting process through a fun election of their own. While adults were casting their votes for U.S. president in November, first grader Audrey Tam (pictured) and her schoolmates voted on something almost as important: a new tiger mascot for the school. Students had voter ID cards, stood in line, and voted for their choice between the four illustrated options. It was a close race, but Tiger Option #1 was declared the winner, and celebratory banners around the school announced the election result.
