Biking girlz

Abigail Smith and Ella Hawes (pictured, from left) are new brand ambassadors for Electra Bicycles. What started as a way to kill time during the pandemic lockdowns grew into an active hobby, several hundred Instagram followers, and the title of brand ambassadors. Abigail, a senior at the University of Oklahoma, and Ella, a senior at the University of Texas, have ridden their bikes all over the city. Their adventures led them to discover new drive-through bars, restaurants, museums, and bike trails. Some of their rides were close to 20 miles and took more than four hours to complete. When they began posting their outdoor adventures on their Biking Girlz Instagram page (@biking.girlz) and tagging Electra, the company reached out via Zoom and plans to use video footage from their call in an upcoming ad campaign. The bikers are back on their college campuses for the semester, but plan to resume more adventures together this summer.
