Ed Turner's retirement party

Ed Turner (pictured, third from left) wrapped up a nearly 40-year career with ExxonMobil and celebrated with a family dinner. Company retirement parties are on hold, so Ed’s wife, Dania, along with family and neighbors (pictured), took over and planned a surprise event to honor his 39-year, 5-month tenure. The front yard was decorated with congratulatory yard signs from Yard Fiesta, and some thoughtful neighbors sent cookies from Crumbl. The big surprise of the night was when the Bovine and Barley cocktail van arrived to serve drinks to the guests. During the pandemic, the cocktail van has made several other trips to the Turners’ street, providing socially distanced, outdoor fun and conversation.

Editor’s note: The Buzz congratulates associate editor Jordan Steinfeld and her husband Matthew on the recent arrival of baby Sloane. Jordan is taking a short break to spend time with Sloane. In the meantime, Buzz writer Angie Frederickson is handling this column. As usual, please send your high-res photos and community news to info@thebuzzmagazines.com. Angie Frederickson is a writer and stay-at-home mom. When those worlds collide, she has been known to hide from her children in order to meet writing deadlines.
