Houston Hearts chapter of National Charity League

The Houston Hearts chapter of National Charity League dedicated a Saturday to helping Kids’ Meals, a program that feeds hungry children in Houston. In just two hours, Katilyn Perniciaro (pictured in mascot costume); Ana Sanchez-Wallis, Caroline Bonner, Heather Bonner, Kristi Voinis, Tracy Kettler, Julia Gutierrez, Abby Miggins, and Linda Perniciaro (top row, from left); Kika Wallis, Callie Voinis, Cate Miggins, Lucy Miggins, Vanessa Goebel, and Audrey Gutierrez (pictured, bottom row, from left) assembled more than 3,500 lunches to be delivered directly to children in their homes. Each lunch included a healthy sandwich, snacks, and juice box, packaged in a hand-decorated lunch sack. Several times each year, Houston Hearts designates a chapter workday for the mothers and daughters to come together and support one of the chapter’s philanthropy organizations. This workday was especially important, as so many children are hungry during the pandemic.

Jordan is taking a short break to spend time with Sloane. In the meantime, Buzz writer Angie Frederickson is handling this column.
