Emery/Weiner School seventh-grade boys basketball team
The Emery/Weiner School seventh-grade boys basketball team (pictured) faced some challenges early in the season, but were still able to play. Most of their in-district games were canceled, leaving the team without a season until other schools graciously welcomed the Jaguars into their schedules. Facing strong competition from Annunciation Orthodox School, Presbyterian School, St. Francis Episcopal, First Baptist Academy, St. John’s School, and River Oaks Baptist School, the boys played a full season and finished with a 6-6 record. They are grateful to their fellow teams for welcoming them onto the court. The team is (top row, from left) coach Otis McAlhany,Benjamin Lepow, Blake Saikin, Chance Diebner, Gabe Diamond, Zac Selzer, and Brandon Sorkin; (middle row, from left) Maddox Larner, Misha Adyanthaya, Liam Miller, Jake Yomtov, Ethan Abramson, Ryan Callahan, and Guy Shafran; (bottom row, from left) Noah Finkleman, Vince Miller, Daniel Hirsch, Jack Lane, Noah Septimus, and Harrison Zimmermann.
