Life after Little League
Texas Legends select baseball team (pictured) held a skills-training day at Carnegie Vanguard High School for young players in the Neartown Little League. The Legends team is an official sponsor of Neartown Little League. It teaches baseball drills and runs mini games for the players. Legends coach John Arrendando has coached teams for years and noticed that when boys age out of Little League, they often do not make their high school team, and their baseball career is over. He created the 14U select team, which includes players from multiple local Little League organizations, so boys can continue playing into their high school years. The Texas Legends are (from left) coach John Arrendando, Yahya Mir, Joshua Petrick, Brandon Grewal, Owen Lynch, John Corder, coach Ryan Chandler, Kyle Beinart, Chase Wei, Blake Cohen, Devin Singh, and Jorden Beinart; not pictured: Andrew Gagliardi, Anthony Castillo, Benjamin David, Cash Talbot, Daniel Harris, Dawson Tiras, Henry Turner, Joe DeToto, Noah Finkelman, and Paolo Rappazzo.
