Lucy, age 2

Hi! My name is Lucy, and I am a beagle. I’m 2 years old, and I live on Sewanee. Just before I turned 1, I suffered a spinal stroke and lost function on my left side. Luckily, these days I don’t even remember that, and I am able to walk, run, and play! My favorite thing to do is snuggling with my family, and playing hide and seek with my human sister is a close second. She hides, and I get so excited when I find her. Another one of my favorite games in the house is chase. I sprint around furniture to avoid getting caught! If you walk by my house, you might see me looking out my mud room window. I’m very friendly, and if you are walking a dog, you might hear my beagle howl. It’s my way of saying, “Hi!”
