Bellaire Open Air X FINDITGIRL X Shopaholic Sanctuary
Evelyn's Park will be hosting Bellaire Open Air, in collaboration with FINDITGIRL and Shopaholic Sanctuary, offering visitors the luxury of an outdoor shopping experience on Friday afternoon.
West U Party on the Patio
This Friday, the West U Party at the Pavilion is back at the Colonial Park Deck. Dee Dee & Mike and The Moondance Band will play from 7 to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Concessions will be available for purchase from Jami’s Fun Foods. Alcohol or pets will not be permitted.
Father’s Day Weekend at Bayou Bend
Fathers receive free admission this Saturday at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Set off on a discovery hike, enjoy live music in the afternoon by violinist/fiddler Mark Seales and guitarist Michael Viteri, and check out self-guided tour stops highlighting the role of fatherhood in early America. Tickets for adults are $12.50 and $6.25 for kids.
Juneteenth Celebration sponsored by Emancipation Park
On Saturday, Emancipation Park will hold a citywide meal distribution. This event is open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Then, "We Rise Up!" Virtual Juneteenth Celebration takes place in the afternoon. Livestream the event led by DJ Chilly Bill Smith and Rob G, rhythm and blues by Vincent Powell, and vocals by Nakitta Clegg-Foxx. Texas Music Festival: String Institute Concert
At the Moores Opera House on Saturday, the Texas Music Festival presents orchestrally inspired chamber music, performed by Orchestral Audition Institute Faculty. The event is free, but RSVP is required. The performance will also be live-streamed for those who wish to view from home.
A Gulf Coast Juneteenth: Featuring Bobby Rush
On Saturday night at the Miller Outdoor Theatre, Grammy award winning blue legend Bobby Rush takes the stage. Celebrate Juneteenth by attending this free performance at Miller or check out some other ways to commemorate the day here.
Young Audiences of Houston at Levy Park
On Saturday afternoon at Levy Park, Young Audiences of Houston presents an interactive, musical performance teaching kids and families about the heroic Harriet Tubman and her experiences as a slave. This event is free and open to the public.
Screen on the Green
At 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. this Saturday night, Discovery Green will be showing Mulan. The event is free, but attendance will be limited. Bring a blanket and a lawn chair to enjoy this family favorite on the Green.
Live Music in the Plaza
Enjoy live music in the plaza every weekend! This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at CityCentre, hear live music from Anthony Pitt (rock/pop), Paul Frias (rock/pop), and Zach Meeks (inspirational).
Astros vs. White Sox
On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Astros face the White Sox at Minute Maid Park.
