The Big Brunch Bright Futures fundraiser benefiting Children At Risk returned to The Grove TreeHouse Deck in Discovery Green. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a wine-tasting game, live auction, and stylish-hat contest while raising $140,000 for programs that benefit Houston-area children. Event chairs were Manon and Matt Kebodeaux and Brittany and Adam Branscum. The statewide nonprofit honored people who have served children throughout their careers: Dr. David Callender, president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System; Stephen Williams, director of the Houston Health Department; Olivia Casares, principal of Lyons Elementary; and Dr. Jean Raphael, pediatrician and founding director of the Center for Child Health Policy and Advocacy at Texas Children’s Hospital.
