Barley, age 8

Barley is my name, and I am a cockapoo – a cocker spaniel and poodle mix. I arrived in 2018 at my parents’ home as a 6-year-old rescue dog, happy to once again have an owner that loved me. My motto is “don’t leave me,” which means that I never let my mom out of my sight. I nap most of the day, but in the evening, I like to get into mischief, diving for trash in the wastebasket under the desk. I think envelopes and yellow sticky notes are the best! I am fearless when it comes to investigating our backyard or scouting possums at night along the fence line. I bark more than I should at other dogs and walkers on our street. I love car rides and visitors, especially my human sister. My tail is short and stubby, but it wags with delight for anyone and for attention!
