Robing Day for STE Seniors
The unique tradition of senior robing is something that St. Thomas’ Episcopal’s seniors look forward to every year, and this year’s ceremony was better than ever.
Slipping on their senior robes, the class walked down the stairs from homeroom to greet parents and friends in the courtyard.
“I felt excited. I think it’s crazy after 13 years of looking up to the seniors, and now it’s finally our time,” senior Sophia Barcelo said. The class gathered together to take robing pictures, and enjoy refreshments. The middle schoolers watched as the seniors lined up for chapel service, excited for the years ahead. Sophia commented that she is most looking forward to the privileges that seniors have like off-campus lunches and senior off periods. She can’t wait for one final year with her class.
Karah Phang, senior at STE, was proud to wear her senior robe. “I saw my older sister wear it, and to be able to wear one myself was amazing. After being here for 13 years and seeing others wear it, I was finally wearing it myself,” she said. She can’t wait for an exciting and long-awaited senior year at St. Thomas’ Episcopal!
