Playing on the Golf Channel
Spring Branch Middle School eighth grader Austin Le (pictured) was a finalist in the Regional National Championship golf tournament held in Memphis, Tenn. The tournament was a qualifying event to play in an upcoming 3-day tournament at Koasati Pines golf course at Coushatta in Kinder, Louisiana, that will be televised on NBC’s Golf Channel. Austin qualified by finishing in second place with a score of 6-under-par. The first-place score was 7-under-par. Austin faced tough competition from players all around the nation and was the leader during the first day of play. This fall, Austin will continue practicing an average of three hours each day at the BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress and playing in many different tournaments leading up to the event Nov. 13-15 in Louisiana. He looks forward to playing in front of the television cameras.
