Approximately 200 guests were starry-eyed at the Houston launch of the Original Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit at The Founders District. Local stars, including The Suffers’ Kam Franklin, artist Donkeeboy, and the Texans’ Whitney Mercilus, were in the crowd for the preview night of the experiential art event. The show, slated to run through Jan. 3 in Houston, brings the painter’s masterpieces to life in a massive warehouse (1314 Brittmoore Road) built out for the immersive video experience. The sunflower-laden space features a plethora of photo opps, including a vintage pickup in Van Gogh’s signature yellow. Tickets are $40-55.
