Holding on to victory
The Owls (pictured) are Southwest Football League (SFL) junior-tackle division champions. In a competitive game against the Tigers, the Owls came out on top 20-14. With 10 seconds left in the game, the Tigers were driving deep into Owls territory, but time expired as a group of Owls tacklers brought the Tigers’ running back to the ground on the 8-yard line. The Owls are fifth and sixth graders from Annunciation Orthodox School, Presbyterian School, St. John’s School, Lanier Middle School, Pin Oak Middle School, Pershing Middle School, River Oaks Baptist School, and Trafton Academy.
