Undefeated record breaker
David Carbajal (pictured) is the Houston Junior Preparatory Conference (HJPC) overall cross-country champion for the boys’ division. The Presbyterian School eighth grader secured the title after setting a personal-record race time at the season’s championship meet. David is one of eight middle-school medalists from Presbyterian School this year. He led the Panthers to their first-place wins in each of the cross-country meets for the entire season and was undefeated in every race, including the 2,400-meter, 3,200-meter, and 2-mile runs. In addition, David participated in the AAU Junior Olympics and is nationally ranked No. 4 in the 1,500-meter run and No. 7 in the 800-meter run.
