Women supporting orphans

Women for Orphans Worldwide (WOW) Houston raised more than $80,000 for orphaned and vulnerable children in Guatemala at its fourth annual Circle of Hope Market, which was held at the home of Dean and Regina Lane. WOW Houston, a national auxiliary of the Orphan Outreach programs in Guatemala, was founded by Memorial-area mothers and daughters who wanted to help orphaned and vulnerable children and families in Guatemala. The Orphan Outreach Marketplace is an online-only social enterprise that benefits the children it serves as well as the artisans whose work is sold. As part of the Circle of Hope event, items are brought in from the Marketplace for an in-person market experience. Tim Martiny, founder of the nonprofit CadaNiño, and whose work is supported by WOW Houston, was the special guest.
