Pumpkin, age 16

My name is Pumpkin, and I’m 16 years old. I am a Cavapoo, which is a mix of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle, and I don’t shed. You might wonder why a black and white dog would be named Pumpkin, but that is the risk you run when kids name the dog. I love to chase squirrels, play in the backyard, get treats, and, most of all, take lots of naps. In August, we go to Colorado, where tons of dogs meet at the base of the mountain for Yappy Hour on Fridays, and it is so much fun. I no longer go on walks but have asked Santa for a stroller so I can go to the park. I am relieved October and November are over. I get so scared hearing people want to carve pumpkins, make pumpkin pie, or put their pumpkins on the front porch.
