Eid Fest extravaganza

Omar Abdel Aal and his mom Maysoon Hamed (pictured, from left) enjoyed making cotton candy for the crowds of people who attended Eid Fest at Bellaire’s Zindler Park. The second annual event, hosted by the Muslim Community Association (MCA), celebrated the end of Ramadan. Hundreds of guests gathered to enjoy local artists and performers, as well as a huge range of activities and delicious food. Approximately 100 volunteers from the community helped make Eid Fest a huge success, and everyone is looking forward to repeating the event again next year.
