Crime Stoppers of Houston held its annual Houston’s Heroes Awards Luncheon, honoring community members who have made exceptional contributions to public safety. Amy Leibman, Crime Stoppers of Houston CEO Rania Mankarious, Sheridan Williams, and Genny McIntyre (pictured, from left) joined fellow supporters to raise funds for public-safety initiatives to combat the increase of crime in Houston and to support victims’ families. Mankarious spoke to guests about the important work of Crime Stoppers and new community challenges before ending with an important reminder that “restoring a safe Houston is going to take all of us, working together, differences aside.” The luncheon concluded with Houston media icon Dave Ward personally presenting the 2022 Dave Ward Excellence in Media Award to his good friend and media legend Shara Fryer.
