Latin Women’s Initiative gives back
Ann Massey, and Isela and Juan Garcia (pictured, from left) were among the sold-out crowd at the 20th anniversary Latin Women’s Initiative Luncheon. Nearly 1,000 fashionably dressed guests arrived at the Hilton Americas ballroom for the annual luncheon, fashion show, and marketplace. Vibrant reds, purples, golds, and hot pink décor created the perfect setting for the high energy crowd enjoying the event chaired by Vicky Dominguez and Patricia Garcia. Tootsies presented the fashion show featuring all Latin designers and a segment with a personal appearance by Colombian designer Maygel Coronel. The successful event will benefit nonprofits that provide critical services to Houston’s Latino community, including Books Between Kids, Homemade Hope, Tejano Center for Community Concerns, Undies for Everyone, and Wesley Community Center.
