Budding theater talent
Six Houston-based college theater students gathered to perform a musical cabaret benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Producer Reese Leif was inspired to create the Perseverance Project in honor of her father who passed away after a years-long battle with leukemia. The one-night-only performance gave these local young performers the opportunity to share their stories and talents while raising more than $7,000 for people struggling with blood cancers. The Perseverance Project’s talented performers and producer included (pictured, from left): Cameron Majewski (University of Oklahoma), Catherine Richard (Baylor University), Claire Valdez (The Hartt School, University of Hartford), producer Reese Leif (University of Michigan), Kate Hebert (University of Denver), Sydni Moon (University of Oklahoma), and Hannah Lovitt (Hofstra University).
