Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners

Dino fans, Children’s Museum Houston is all about dinosaurs this week with fun and educational ongoing activities through Saturday.
2022 Houston Texans Training Camp
Gear up for football season - the 2022 Houston Texans Training Camp presented by Xfinity kicks off Friday morning and continues through Weds., Aug. 10. Training Camp, led by Head Coach Lovie Smith, features a behind-the-scenes look at the 2022 Texans, live music, games, photo ops, and more. Houston Shakespeare Festival
The Houston Shakespeare Festival returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre this weekend - the first live HSF since 2019, due to Covid - with performances of King Lear and Cymbeline. Produced by the University of Houston’s School of Theatre & Dance, HSF is presented annually with free performances for the Houston community. This year marks the 48th season of the festival. A performance of Cymbeline will take place Friday, 8;15 p.m. and a performance of King Lear will take place Saturday, 8:15 p.m. See the full schedule, plus a livestream link, here.
Family Movie Night at Levy Park: Cruella
Bring your family for Family Movie Night, presented by Texas Children’s Hospital, at Levy Park. The free screening of Cruella (PG-13) begins Friday at 8:30 p.m.
Influencer Closet Sale Fundraiser for Family Houston
Shop for a cause as local fashionistas open up their closets to benefit Family Houston. Join at Sesh Coworking, Saturday, 1-3 p.m. Admission is free.
Summer Community Celebration at CAMH
Spend Saturday afternoon at CAMH to explore the museum’s current exhibitions, Amoako Boafo: Soul of Black Folks and Mariah Garnett: Dreamed This Gateway, through hands-on activities, workshops, and a live performance. Drop-in experiences include participating in a scavenger hunt, one-minute meditation, creating a botanical drawing, and more.
Bellaire Open Air HTX Market
Browse goodies from local artisans at this open-air market at Evelyn’s Park on Sunday, 12-4 p.m. After, cool off at the park’s new splash pad.
BuffBrew’s 11th Annual X-Mas in July
Get in the “holiday spirit” this hot July weekend at Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co.’s annual celebration. A rooftop ticket includes icy cold treats and special release brews, a live DJ, Winter Wonderland photo ops, and more. The party takes place at BuffBrew on Sunday, 12-6 p.m. and tickets are $25.
Houston Restaurant Weeks
Peruse menus this weekend, as the always-anticipated Houston Restaurant Weeks fundraiser kicks off Aug. 1. The month-long event raises more for the Houston Food Bank than any other fundraiser.
